Center for Literacy (CFL) was recently honored twice, at a POWER (The Power of Professional WoMen*) event and at a Philadelphia 76ers game.
On March 6, during the half-time ceremony, the 76ers presented CFL with the Game Changer Award**, sponsored by Firstrust Bank, for its "commitment to shaping our next generation of leaders and innovators." Accepting the award on behalf of CFL were: Peggy Leimkuhler, COO of Firstrust Bank and Chair of CFL's Board of Trustees and Cynthia Allen, CFL's Director of Academic Success, CFL.
Also, at
a POWER luncheon on February 23, CFL was the spotlighted non-profit. Peggy Leimkuhler and Eileen Connolly Robbins, CEO, POWER, presented a $1,000 donation from Firstrust Bank to CFL's President and CEO Michael Westover in recognition of CFL's commitment to unleash the power of literacy to improve lives.
