This week in Chapel we had the honor of hosting our Distinguished Speaker, Gabe Norris. Gabe is the cofounder of Connect Ministries (www.connect-ministries.com) whose sole purpose is to connect communities to churches. God has used and continues to use Gabe in extraordinary ways, and we were so privileged to have him pour into our students and faculty.
As you and your family go about life this week, consider the following questions for conversation:
CONVERSATIONS STARTERS:
Read through Mark 4:35-41; Isaiah 41:10
- “What are some things that you are afraid of?”
- “What are some things that you used to be afraid of, but now you are not afraid of those things any longer?”
- “Knowing that there are things that you used to be afraid of but are no longer afraid of what does that tell you about fear and/or future fears?”
- “What did the disciples do when they were fearful? What was Jesus’s response?”
- “Knowing Jesus’s response to the disciples’ fear, what does tell you about how Jesus views your fear(s)?
- “How do the promises of Isaiah 41:10 change your perspective on your fear(s)?”
- “How can I pray for you?”
Thank you so much for continuing in your homes the conversations that we have in our Chapels!
So glad to be partnering together with each you!
Ben Wallis Director of Spiritual Life
