2007 Alumna Toni Collins to Moderate
this Year's Schooler Lecture
 
The University of Mount Union has announced that ESPN  SportsCenter anchor and reporter Antonietta "Toni" Collins '07 will back on campus to moderate the Schooler Lecture featuring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on April 4.

Collins, who graduated from the University of Mount Union in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in media studies and a minor in sport management, joined ESPN in September 2013 as part of the digital media team and moved to her current role in February of 2016.  Click the link above to learn more.

Senior student, Janelle McDonald '17, is thankful for the many resources and people who have helped her throughout her college journey at Mount Union. She is especially grateful for the generous scholarships and financial aid that have made her education more affordable. In collaboration with the Department of Physical Therapy, students in the mechanical engineering major are working to develop a lower prosthetic leg that could potentially provide an adaptable, affordable and reusable interim prosthetic for amputees.

They will be presenting at the Summer Biomechanics, Bioengineering and Biotransport Conference (SB3C) this summer in Tucson, Arizona! This is the 2nd straight year this engineering project has been selected as a finalist for  SB3C. Find more information on this project and what our students are doing! 

    The Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies will accomplish its mission by offering a graduate level curriculum that focuses on the development of critical thinking, professional problem solving, appreciation of human diversity and ethical leadership. Through its mission, the program will help meet the surrounding community's need for qualified healthcare providers.

The University of Mount Union Department of Theatre
will Present "Little Shop of Horrors" March 30 - April 1 

Directed by assistant professor and Department of Theatre chair Kevin P. Kern, the Mount Union cast features theatre major David Lenahan '17 and theatre major Kayla Lehman '18 as the leads. Lenahan will play S eymour, the unlucky florist who discovers the man-eating plant, and Lehman will play Audrey, a hopeless romantic stuck in skid row.

Hey Parents and Families with Graduating Seniors!

Senior Salute is on April 12  and it's your graduate's "One Stop Shop" for everything graduation related! Encourage your student to stop by the Newbold Room in the HPCC to pick up their commencement tickets, cap and gown, donate their freshman deposit towards the senior class gift, a pavilion, talk with the business office, office of student financial services, and get their senior pictures taken, plus more.

Volunteers Wanted!

Graduation is right around the corner and the Office of Alumni Engagement would love some of our current parents and families to volunteer to make some of those commencement events that much more special for our graduates!Senior Send-Off will be held on campus on Friday, May 12  from 7-9 p.m. and Commencement will be on Saturday, May 13 More information to follow for those that are interested! Please contact [email protected] or 330-823-2030 if interested in volunteering for these events.
