White House Champion of Change Recipient S. Dallas Dance
to be Keynote Speaker at
Pasadena Educational Foundation's Spring Event

PASADENA, CA - Celebrating Our Schools, the Pasadena Educational Foundation's 2015 Spring Event, will feature an inspiring keynote address from White House Champions of Change honoree Dr. S. Dallas Dance, Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools. Dr. Dance is responsible for overseeing one of the largest school districts in the nation.  A rising star in education, he is highly regarded for being a vibrant and driven leader, committed to advancing technology in the classroom.   The event will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at the historic Pasadena City Hall, beginning at 6 p.m.

The  2015 Exemplary Service Award   will be presented to Rich Webster, in recognition of The Helen and Will Webster Foundation's steadfast and generous support of the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF), the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), and the wider community.

The event will also feature remarks from PUSD Superintendent Dr. Brian McDonald. He oversees more than 17,000 students and is dedicated to the mission of motivating all students to achieve their highest potential. In leading the district, Dr. McDonald calls upon his many years of experience as a banker, classroom teacher, school principal, and district administrator. Dr. McDonald is the proud father of five PUSD students.


Contributions to the Spring Event allow PEF to support the priorities and forward-thinking initiatives of the district, and help PEF provide award-winning art programs, summer school, and cutting-edge classroom technology.


The evening's program will be followed by a reception in the Pasadena City Hall Courtyard.
