Dear Parents and Friends,

Thank you to all who joined us last Sunday March 5th for our second annual dinner. Your presence and support means a a great deal to us, and helped make the night a big success. A very s pecial thank you to Melissa Belsh for an amazing job putting it all together for the second year in a row!

The rest of our week was just as exciting. From Crazy Hat Day to School Spirit Day to Superhero Day, the hallways of YJS were bursting with the joy of Adar. Our classes learned about the mitzvot and minhagim of Purim in preparation for the chag, and 4th Grade performed a wonderful Purim puppet show for the lower grades. Today, our 8th Grade students prepared an amusement park themed pizza lunch for all of their schoolmates, including celery "log flumes", popcorn, pretzel bites, and lemonade. A big thanks to Mrs. Drazen for coordinating!

We will be celebrating Shushan Purim in school this coming Monday, March 13th.   All students and staff are encouraged to wear costumes to school. As in previous years, please ensure that all costumes worn to school conform with the YJS dress code found in the Parent Handbook.

Appointments for the Parent Teacher Conferences are filling up quickly! Please make sure to call in as soon as possible to schedule your preferred time slots.

Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and Chag Purim Sameach!
