Join us in celebration of Money Smart Week. We will do a money craft and have a special guest from Parkside Credit Union. NY Life Insurance Co. will also be here issuing FREE child ID cards from 6-8 p.m (ages 17 and under). 

Healthy Living Workshop
with Dr. Travis Dockery
Saturday, April 8, 12-1 p.m.

We welcome back Dr. Travis Dockery from True Health Chiropractic in Romulus. He will be presenting a second program on healthy eating habits, nutrition truths and myths, and exercises to improve health and minimize pain. If you missed the first session, this is your chance to get in gear just in time for summer.
Community Financial Literacy Workshop

As part of Money Smart Week, Starfish Family Services will be here to teach us more about managing our personal finances and how to make better money decisions. 
The Smartest Card in Your Wallet Just Got Even Smarter

Forgot your library card? Library card holders now have the option of presenting a digital version of their library card barcode on a mobile device using an app. Download your library card barcode to an app such as Stocard or KeyRing and use it for checkout.

Poem in Your Pocket

Get ready for Poem in your Pocket Day, April 27, and celebrate National Poetry Month by selecting a poem, carrying it with you, and sharing it with others throughout the month at schools, bookstores, libraries, parks, workplaces, and on social media using the hashtag #pocketpoem. Poems will be provided at the library circulation desk.

Library Partners with
Helping Hand Food Pantry in Romulus

March 20 - April 28, 2017
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Helping Hand Food Pantry in Romulus! Bring in non-perishable food items and receive $1.00 off your fines on Romulus Public Library items for each item you donate. All food items will be donated to Helping Hand Food Pantry.

Food for Fines cannot be used on lost items or collection fees and we cannot accept items that are past the expiration date. Donations will be accepted for those without fines as well. 

 In partnership with Helping Hand Food Pantry, Gleaners Community Food Bank and The Library Network. 
News from the Director
This month we are unveiling our newly-designed library logo! The purpose of the logo is to visually communicate our mission and vision to provide resources and services to inform, educate, enlighten and entertain members of the community and serve as a place for all to discover the joy of reading. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Look for the new logo on all future communications and be sure to follow us on our new Instagram account.
