FROM THE DESK OF

The Rev. Ledlie I. Laughlin
Rector , St. Columba's
Episcopal Church
Washington, DC
Dear Ones,

Things are looking mighty green here at St. Columba's, and I don't mean just the flowering bulbs, budding trees, and greening gardens.

With this "green issue" of our monthly newsletter, we celebrate Earth Day, taking to heart our call to be good stewards of the good earth God has created.

For starters, this April issue is only distributed electronically, not mailed out in print.

Read about
  • our line-up of thought-provoking Sunday forums
  • the vestry's commitment to this being a zero waste congregation - and your role therein
  • environmental action steps we can each take at home

Thousands will be gathering in Washington this month for Earth Day and the People's Climate Movement. St. Columba's commitment to and care of creation runs deep; your participation and prayers are invaluable.

Peace!
Ledlie
