Currituck County 4-H is selling discount cards to raise money to send Currituck youth to summer camp. This year-round discount card can be used over and over again at 18 area businesses, and is good through  December 1st, 2018. It's WIN-WIN-WIN! Card holders save money with the great discounts while supporting local businesses and help to send Currituck youth to summer camp. The cards are only $10 and make a great stocking stuffer or gift for everyone on your Christmas list!

4-H Youth Development

A delegation of 14 North Carolina 4-H youth and 3 adults representing 15 counties including Currituck County, attended the ninety-sixth annual National 4-H Congress, held in Atlanta, Georgia. The North Carolina delegation joined more than nine hundred youth and adults representing 4-H programs across the country, to participate in educational, service and recreational opportunities. H. Gregory Dozier IV represented Currituck county at the November 24-28, 2017 conference.

Well then, consider becoming part of the Extension Master Gardener Volunteers! The Extension Master Gardener Volunteers is an outreach group of the N.C. Cooperative Extension and NC State University. These volunteers serve their community by sharing research-based information on horticulture related issues and community beautification projects.

Do you want to make your New Year's resolution of having a healthy lifestyle stick? Then to help kick start your resolution, try NC Cooperative Extension's free, virtual Whole Body Boot Camp starting  January 17th  and running through  February 7th . Each week, there will be a short virtual class that can be viewed on your own schedule and in your own home. You will then be given a few small self-improvement homework assignments to complete during the week, as well as group discussions and encouragement throughout the class.
