Registration Now Open for Memorial Day 5K!
The 10th Annual Memorial Day 5K starts in the Central Business District and proceeds through our historic tree-lined streets. Come enjoy our varied terrain, historical scenery, and energized spectators. Food, drinks and water stations provided. Make a morning of it by staying for the Memorial Day Parade. SHOW YOUR COLORS! Groups or organizations consisting of 20 or more participants who pre-register can get a special team-colored t-shirt and registration rate of $15 per person. This is a great way to support your favorite cause or run in memory of a loved one. Register early to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Lansdowne Farmers Market Vendor Applications Available
Vendor applications are now available for the 2016 Lansdowne Farmers Market season, which begins this year on Saturday, May 28, Memorial Day weekend. If you know of a food vendor that would be an ideal fit for our market, tell them about us and send them links to our 2016 vendor application and rules.

Don't forget -- our next Winter Market is just over two weeks away! In the usual North Lansdowne Avenue location, 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, February 20. Hope to see you there!

Free Trees
If you're a homeowner in Lansdowne who would like a new tree in your front yard, you're in luck -- Lansdowne's Tree Advisory Board is once again providing them free to willing participants. Not only will you improve the look of your property, you and your new tree will help improve air quality and temperature for all of us. If you're interested, please call Mary Lou Jennings at 610-622-0162.

Lansdowne Boys & Girls Club Baseball Registration
Tee-ball and intramural baseball teams provide a great introduction to baseball teams for younger players, and opening day is just around the corner! Registration is now open for the tee-ball program (boys and girls ages 4-6), intramural baseball (boys 7-8), and travel teams (boys 9 to 12). The LBGC -- a volunteer organization -- is also looking for coaches and people to run the snack shack at games. Visit LansdowneBoysAndGirlsClub.com for a registration form and information about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities.
