Lansdowne is Nominated for America's Main Street Contest
Here at the LEDC, we love Lansdowne and have nominated the Borough for the America's Main Street Contest sponsored by Independent We Stand. We need your help to get Lansdowne as many online votes as possible so we can win a $25,000 grant.

Main Streets are really the heartbeat of America's cities and towns. They play an important part in the long-term success of communities and really help build a sense of place. When Main Streets are strong, so are the communities that surround them. "The goal of this inaugural Independent We Stand 'America's Main Streets' contest is to promote the importance and strong economic benefits of Main Streets and the small businesses that help them thrive," explains Independent We Stand co-founder Bill Brunelle. "We expect to see communities rallying for their Main Streets simply by going online and encouraging others to do the same. We want to know what already makes your Main Street tick or what you think would make it even better."

Please vote online daily for Lansdowne at http://www.mainstreetcontest.com/profile.php?id=91. Quarterfinal voting ends April 24, 2016. We hope to have enough votes to make it to the Semi-Finalist voting starting May 2 and continuing through May 29.
