Los Angeles, March 20, 2017 - ALADS President Ron Hernandez issued the following statement regarding the shooting in the parking lot outside the sheriff's Temple Station. A sheriff's SWAT team later found the suspect dead in an SUV parked in a lot outside the station.

We are grateful that no deputies were injured or killed in the Temple Station shooting. This deliberate attack on a sheriff's substation is another reminder of the dangers deputies face every day in their jobs, where a "routine" day at work has the potential to turn deadly.
