Beginning Anew in Spring

Spring marks the season of new life. In many traditions, it marks the beginning of the new year. It is the time when buds sprout and the weather is milder. It is about rebirth.

Just as winter is the time of introspection, spring is the time of planting the seeds you wish to have bud in the weeks ahead. As I have written before, tuning into the seasons can help us, the human inhabitants of this planet, be in the flow with Earth's energy, and in turn, our own energy. We are energy, the planet is energy, and we are all connected via this energy. This is not a woo-woo thing; there is scientific evidence supporting this. ( Click here for more information about this from the HeartMath Institute.) Being in the flow allows us to understand where we need to go, what we need to do, and how to get there. It is about observing and learning how to intuit the subtleties around us. And, best of all, we have plenty of help from our incredible Divine Helpers.

Spring officially begins today, Monday, March 20th. My plans for the day include a trip to our local labyrinth to plant my intentions for the upcoming season. I always include Abundance, Joy, Clarity, Harmony, and Insight for my highest good when I am planting my seeds. Adding "for my highest good" at the end of all intentions and prayers give your Divine Helpers permission to bring what you truly need, not necessarily what you think you need. We often do not really know what we need to get to the next level, but our Helpers do. Giving them permission is an important part this process.

Plan something for today, regardless of what or where you do it. Plant the seeds you want to see in your life, and remember, you are a powerful soul inhabiting your body and the earth for just a short while!

My life changed when I discovered Reiki. I've talked before about how one of my psychic instructors introduced me to Reiki at my first psychic development workshop. I didn't use it for a year! At one point, my guides told me to use it every day on myself and my family. Once I started using Reiki, I kicked myself for waiting so long!

The ability to "do" Reiki is within all of us. What the Reiki class and attunement do is awaken that healing part of us so we become the Reiki vessel.

Unlike many other healing modalities, you become a Reiki practitioner after your first class. You can begin a Reiki practice helping to heal yourself and others.

Many of us are called to help heal our world right now. Reiki is an excellent way to do this. Reiki has no limits, so you can send Reiki to places, people, situations, anywhere! You can use it to clear energy out of your space and your body, to help with tense situations, to relieve stress and discomfort. Animals LOVE Reiki, also!
