Guest Speaker
This year, we were honored to have David N. Taylor, President of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, as our Guest Speaker. Taylor is host of PMA Perspective, on the Pennsylvania Cable Network and Capital Watch, a radio program. Both are aired throughout Pennsylvania.
David was able to provide interesting comments and suggestions on the potential that exists in Pennsylvania to expand the Marcellus and Utica Shale work here by handling all aspects of this work in state. By keeping the refining process close to the wells, we will reduce production costs, shipping costs and usage costs, but more importantly, we will bring jobs back to Pennsylvania.
David lives with his wife and daughter in Hershey, PA. If you would like more information, please contact our office.

Bittersweet Farewell
to Executive Director, Bill Ligetti
who will retire in 2017
After twenty-three very productive years as Executive Director of the Ironworker Employers Association of Western Pennsylvania, Inc., Bill Ligetti has decided to retire. A successor has yet to be selected, but knowing it will happen in 2017, The Board of Directors recognized Bill and his accomplishments after the Awards ceremony at our Annual Dinner. Board President, Pat Carnevale, made opening remarks, followed by Bob George and Rubbie Greenewald.
Both Bob and Rubbie served on the IWEA Board of Directors with Bill in the early 1980s so they were able to provide a review of where the Association was prior to Bill, and what he achieved on behalf of the Association and our Membership during his tenure. Bill was presented with several gifts from the Membership, and everyone wished Bill & Geri Congratulations on his pending retirement.

Needless to say, Bill will be a tough act to follow, and will be greatly missed!
