Rural Business Development Grants (RBDG)
March 31, 2017 Deadline
RBDG is a competitive grant designed to support targeted technical assistance, training and other activities leading to the development or expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural areas that have fewer than 50 employees and less than $1 million in gross revenues. Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act Grants from the US DOJ
April 24, 2017 Deadline
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is seeking applications to plan and implement comprehensive strategies in response to the growing opioid epidemic. This program furthers the Department's mission by providing resources to state, local, and tribal governments to intervene with persons with substance use disorders. Street Outreach Program Funding Available
Family and Youth Services Bureau

Since 1996, Street Outreach Program has been funding grantees to provide street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth. These services, which are provided in areas where street youth congregate, are designed to assist such youth in making healthy choices and providing them access to shelter.  To apply, please see the website.
 
Thirty-seven Communities Share $487,579 in State Grant Dollars for Urban Forests
"Urban forests serve a vital role in our communities, delivering valuable environmental, economic, and social benefits," said Alexandria Elias, Urban Forestry Grants Manager. "Approximately 70 percent of Wisconsin's population lives in an urban area. Beyond aesthetics, urban forests reduce air pollution, mitigate storm water runoff, conserve energy, and increase property values. The 2017 urban forest grants help communities maximize these benefits."  For a complete list of the 2017 Grant recipients click here.  Note that applications for 2018 Grants become available July 1 with a submission deadline of October 1, 2017.
