Stand Against Racism Panel
Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA. The focus for 2017 is "Women of Color Leading Change." They have invited a panel of women, in various stages of their lives, to address how they've come to see themselves as leaders. They will speak individually, and with each other, prior to opening it up to the full group.

WACYCP Annual Youth Workers Conference Nominations
The Wisconsin Association of Child and Youth Providers is seeking nominations for several categories for youth work done in 2016. All nominees and nominators will receive a special invitation to this free event. There will be a free dinner, entertainment and there will be a cash bar.
Please turn in your nominations prior to April 10th 2017.
Applications can be submitted here. The conference will be held Thursday June 1 at the Double Tree Hotel. They will honor all the work done for youth in 2016.

March For Science Milwaukee
The March for Science is publicly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. They unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good, and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.
This is a non-partisan, all-encompassing community effort in support of science! Milwaukee residents deserve policy that values facts over ideological agendas. The event is free and open to the public.

Creating a Multi-Cultural Democracy-Winona LaDuke
LaDuke is known for her work on environmental and human rights issues. She is the executive director of Honor the Earth and works for environmental justice.

Men Helping Man is a monthly meeting about men dealing with the loss of a loved one due to opiate overdose. They meet the first Thursday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Plymouth United Church of Christ.
This person could be lost through death or active addiction. There will be other men to talk about the effects of a lost loved one.

Milwaukee Rescue Mission Lead Teacher
The Milwaukee Rescue Mission's Child Enrichment Center is seeking teachers who are motivated, dedicated and passionate about early childhood education. We have one part-time (hours roughly 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) lead teacher position available.
Lead teachers are responsible for creating and implementing age appropriate lesson plans, monitoring and documenting growth and development, communicating effectively with students and parents, classroom management and maintaining a clean and organized classroom.

This position may also assist patients who seek abortion services by screening, educating and preparing them for a procedure in Spanish.
