SPRING 2017

The Civiltec team has hit the ground running in 2017! This first quarter had a couple very exciting highlights for us as a company. In January, we enjoyed the fruits of our labors with Sunny Slope Water Company as they unveiled a cutting-edge nitrate removal technology from Microvi. And in March, we celebrated 31 years as a company together at our annual "Day at the Races" at the Santa Anita Track.

All the while, we continue to expand our client base, including the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), and maintain working relationships with clients we have worked for previously, such as the City of San Gabriel. We are also grateful to longtime clients for continuing to rely on our expertise for their projects. Last but not least, we remain dedicated to serving our nearby communities by volunteering our time to local nonprofits.

Check out this Spring 2017 Quarterly Newsletter for a brief glance at the latest projects Civiltec is a part of in California and the people who make this work happen. If you know others who would appreciate this Quarterly Newsletter,  and encourage them to join our mailing list!

Sincerely,
W. David Byrum, P.E.

2017 Day at the Races
Civiltec's annual "Day at the Races" at Santa Anita Park had its biggest turnout ever in 2017, with over 270 RSVPs! Thank you again to everyone who was able to attend our event. We had a great time celebrating our 31st anniversary!

Inland Empire Utilities Agency Flow Meter Upgrade
The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), responsible for serving approximately 875,000 people over 242 square miles in western San Bernardino County, has contracted Civiltec to upgrade a flow metering station within the IEUA Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Brine Line. The Brine Line delivers industrial flow from the Agency's service area to the Los Angeles County Sanitation District.
Ribbon Cutting at Sunny Slope Water Company

On January 25, 2017, Civiltec attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at Sunny Slope Water Company as they unveiled the world's most advanced nitrate removal technology. Civiltec collaborated with Microvi to integrate a state-of-the-art biological treatment system for removal of nitrate from two of Sunny Slope's drinking water production wells.

Volunteering at Union Station Homeless Services
Civiltec partner David Song recently volunteered at Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena. Union Station Homeless Services is a nonprofit organization, part of a premier group of human services agencies in Los Angeles County that are leading the way to ending homelessness in our community.
We love hearing news from everyone in the Civiltec community. Feel free to reach out, say hello and tell us all the news from your organization!
