Pond
Miss Meg recommends Pond by Jim LaMarche

Can three children save an abandoned pond and transform it back to life? When Matt finds a spring bubbling in a junk-filled lot, he convinces his sister and friend to join him in his quest. Beautifully illustrated using a soft palette of colors, LaMarche reminds us of the connection with the natural world and the influence we have on nature. The gentle story touches upon the wonder of discovery, children and their imagination, and is ultimately about hope and renewal.
