Join us for our Women's Retreat!

Join us April 21 - 22 for a time of renewal and connection at the beautiful Bear Trap Ranch Retreat Center. With many amenities and delicious meals provided, this is sure to be a time of rejuvenation and restoration.

We are delighted to welcome Cari Jenkins as our special guest speaker for this retreat. Cari will be guiding us throughout this time together as we learn about the source of identity, how to tell what our identity is placed in, how to see healing brought to us, and what it looks like to live out of a true identity. We wrestle with identity daily. Whether male or female, identity questions are some of the most  important questions we can ask. The answers to these questions will either bring us life or it can make life miserable, confusing, and cause a lot of heart ache. Identity matters.

Cost is $89 per person (scholarships available!) and includes overnight lodging and 3 meals. (Bear Trap Ranch is known for their delicious food. They make all of their meals from scratch and serve down-home, buffet-style foods.) For more information on Bear Trap Ranch, feel free to visit their  website . You will be able to arrive as early as 3pm on the 21st (we won't officially kick off until dinner-time), but we welcome anyone who needs to arrive later in the evening. Carpool options are available and we will provide a 4WD "shuttle" vehicle to assist those parking in the lot at the base of the retreat.

Registration closes on Friday, April 7th, so click here to reserve your spot and register today!

For any additional information or if you have any questions, please email Shirene Patterson at shirene@plattparkchurch.org.

What do you think is the number one thing a woman looks for in a man? It's not money, good looks, or even a successful career. Surprisingly, it's actually confidence. Confidence!

The apostle Paul once wrote to a church in the city of Corinth and said, "Therefore, we are always confident..." Paul didn't just throw words around loosely. What would it mean to always be confident? On good days, bad days, in good moods, bad moods, with difficult tasks, boring tasks, hard circumstances... is it possible to always be confident?

Join us in for the next five weeks as we explore, "The Confidence Paradox".

March 26th: Susie Grade
April 2nd: Charlie Dodrill (conclusion)

Easter Egg Hunt Donations
We are still in need of donations of candy and plastic eggs. We are expecting a lot of kiddos this year (yay!) so anything you can help provide is greatly appreciated! Please drop your donations in one of the baskets in the back of the church or in the main office.  Thank you for supporting our Children's Ministry!

Children's Ministry Palm Sunday
Performance
The children are scheduled to sing on Palm Sunday, April 9th, during both the 9am and the 10:30 am service.  Like the Christmas Children's Performance, we encourage families to attend both if at all possible.   The children will sing at the end of the 9am service and the beginning of the 10:30 services, so you won't need to stay for the full services of both. Mp4s and lyrics have been sent home and via email, and are also available by clicking HERE. If you are able to practice at home or in the car with your kids, that would be wonderful.
REHEARSAL: If possible, children are encouraged to stay for our final rehearsal on April 2nd, after the 10:30am service. Pizza will be provided!

This Year's Easter Services
This year we will be offering THREE Easter morning services: 7:30am, 9am, and 10:30am. We would love for you to join us and invite a friend! If you are a regular attender of Platt Park Church, we ask you to please consider our visitors by parking a little further away in order to reserve the parking lot for guests and by sitting in the front/center pews. Also, if you are interested in being a part of a special Easter Sunday Choir, please email Charlie at charlie@plattparkchurch.org.

Groups Banner
Small groups are one important way to grow deeper in relationships with God and with one another. We learn to know Christ more and how to follow him in word and deed in the context of community. Joining a small group is such a vital and easy way to get to know others in the church, establish friendships and grow in Christ in a more relaxed setting. Sometimes participating in a group can help you determine if joining a church in Denver is for you.

Adoption Connections | Leaders: Gwen & Tim Vogelzang
Fourth Friday of every month, 6:15 - 8pm, in the Parlor
We welcome Platt Park members as well as anyone outside the church body who has ties to the world of adoption.  Whether you've adopted internationally, domestically, through foster care, you're considering adoption, you were adopted, you placed a child for adoption...everyone is welcome. Bring dinner and eat as a family at 6:00pm if you wish!  Our formal time together will begin at 6:30 when we will share journeys, discuss adoption related topics, and grow in community. Childcare provided (starting at 6:30).

Evening Edition: "Live Like It Is All True" | Leaders: Carol Schmidt & Heather Easter
Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:00pm in the Lounge
Do the people around us see evidence in our lives that we are passionate, devoted followers of Christ?  We will take a practical approach to Scripture and a variety of topics, with this question in mind:  "How would my life look different if I lived like _______ is really true?"  This group is for all women who are interested in having fun, making friends, and growing spiritually.  We will begin with a meal at 6:30pm.

"Lives of Unstoppable Hope: Living the Beatitudes" | Leader: Daniel Fusch
Sundays, 10:30am in the Lounge
We will explore what it means to live a life of blessing as we look at the Beatitudes in the gospel of Matthew.  We will consider the Greek meaning of the words written in the Scriptures for a deep and powerful study of the heart of God revealed to us in those verses.

"Love, Hate, and Jesus in the Gospel of John" | Leader: Sandy Laws
Sunday Mornings, 9:15 to 10:15 am in the Lounge
Jesus was fully human and he understood the range of human emotions from love to hate and everything in between. In this six-week study, we will look at nine notable characters in John's gospel and explore their emotional response to Jesus. Each of these characters, the World, Judas Iscariot, the Jewish Leaders and the High Priest, Pontius Pilate, Nicodemus, the Samaritan Woman, the Disciples and John the Baptist, has something to teach us today about humankind's response to Jesus.

Monday Night Men | Leader: Mark Bixler
First three Mondays of the month, 7:30pm in the Parlor
This group is open to all men. We will be doing a 9 Week Study on 1 & 2 Peter using the Study Guide "Courage in Times of Trouble" by John MacArthur. We will read and review the chapters together and have a lively discussion based around study questions. Light snacks will be provided.

Morning Edition | Leader: Lara Hedberg
