There are numerous opportunities for youth to gain public speaking skills through involvement in 4-H. Colleges and employers are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills. Through 4-H, youth receive the opportunity to improve those skills in a positive environment, while learning about a topic of their interest. Teen Council is the county 4-H leadership organization for teen 4-H club members. Its purpose is to help teen 4-Hers develop leadership skills, while helping to build a strong county 4-H program. Teens from all county clubs are encouraged to participate. Join our Facebook group!

Discover the exciting world of agriculture at the NHC Arboretum! Campers (age 9-12) will have to think like a farmer to complete some of the challenges they will be given. A few highlights includes hatching and caring for baby chicks, making snacks from local foods and field trips to local farms and farmers markets! Space is limited.
