Dear Friends,
I write this in the afterglow of Good Morning JFS! Our hearts filled as we heard stories of courage and perseverance, and how our Jewish values compel us to do the work we do. We at Jewish Family Services are so grateful for your support - and so proud to merit it.
Right about now, so many of us are cleaning our homes and getting ready for Passover. At JFS, we've begun our 11th annual Passover Food Drive. Thank you - once again - to all our partner agencies and synagogues, donors, and volunteers for helping us distribute thousands of food packages over the years.
Wishing you and your family a beautiful Passover.
Mindy Berkowitz
Executive Director
What a Good Morning it was!
300 guests joined us at breakfast to hear JFS stories, and came away with so much more than yogurt and granola!
Our Good Morning JFS! guests had
so many good things to say about our event:
"It was a great event. There was so much positive energy in the room."
"Well done, quite a story, appreciated seeing the community there. The JFS story is well told."
"I was blown away. It was a spectacular hour. Everybody smiled, cried, wept with hope in their hearts. Speakers were courageous and excellent."
"I liked having the list of volunteer opportunities. I want to get involved and get my family involved."
"It made me so proud to be in this community. I can't see any organization that has greater impact than JFS."

11th Annual Passover Food Drive
Now through April 3rd
"Let all who are hungry come and eat; all who are needy can come and join the Passover celebration."
JFS SV is collecting and distributing Passover food to families and seniors in need in our community through the Project NOAH Passover Food Drive.
Food barrels are placed throughout the community. Look for the JFS SV bins in these locations:
- both lobbies of the Levy Family Campus
- Congregation Beth David
- Congregation Shir Hadash
- Congregation Sinai
- South Peninsula Hebrew Day School
- Temple Emanu-El
We appreciate your contribution of Kosher for Passover food items that will help others less fortunate in our community celebrate this important holiday. It also teaches children the importance of Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam.
For more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact Sheila Monheit, JFS SV Volunteer Coordinator at 408-357-7451 or at
[email protected].
