Sensory-Friendly Autism Acceptance Disco
|
The Andy Warhol Museum is proud to present a sensory-friendly event as part of autism awareness and acceptance month. Join us at the museum for a silent disco experience designed specifically for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and those with sensory sensitivities. DJ Naeem will spin a live set of dance classics. Rather than playing loud music through speakers, wireless headphones allow attendees to opt in or out of the soundtrack and control their own volume levels.
The Andy Warhol Museum, 117 Sandusky Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, Thursday, April 20th, 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., the evening's schedule and ticket information available

HUMAN SEXUALITY SURVEY
Robert Morris University is conducting a research study determining the percentage of adolescents with autism spectrum disorders who receive some type of human sexuality education, whether that be in school or an additional resource. A brief Survey Monkey for parents to complete has been created. Completion of this survey will assist in acknowledging the lack of education for this population, thus advocating for creation of more programs and inclusion in curriculum.
