CASA Expands Advocacy to Serve Infants & Toddlers in Foster Care

Did you know that nearly 30% of children in San Benito County's foster care system are under 5 years of age? In order to serve those most vulnerable, CASA has expanded its advocacy program, holding its first Infants & Toddlers (I&T) training session this past February. Focus of I&T advocacy includes monitoring the child's development and case plan, advocating for timely permanency with at least one primary caregiver, and facilitation of necessary resources and services. If you are interested in becoming an advocate for a foster child under the age of 5, you are encouraged to join the Fall Advocate Training. For more information, please contact the office at 831-637-4992 or visit www.casasanbenito.org.
