Double your impact this March
Did you know that for just $15 a month, Mission Central can make sure two families have fresh, healthy groceries to fill their refrigerators and pantries?

Monthly giving is an easy way to help empower your neighbors in need. You simply need to   create an account via our secure provider. After creating the account, you can easily set up a monthly donation of any amount from your credit card or checking account by clicking on "Scheduled Giving." You may stop or change your donations at any time.

Your monthly gifts are important to Mission Central because they help us plan ahead for services and programming. With a strong idea of how much our community plans to give, we're able to commit resources to our various programs with the confidence of knowing they'll be supported throughout the year.

If you initiate a monthly gift during the month of March, an anonymous donor has agreed to match your first gift, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.  For example, if you initiate a monthly gift of $50 before the end of March, our donor will match that first gift with a $50 gift of their own. Double your impact by initiating a new monthly gift today!
Village Library students learn about life with service animals
Earlier this month, students at the Village Library had the chance to learn first-hand about life with service animals.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Liz Campbell visited the Village Library with her service dog, Barbara. Ms. Campbell is blind and the dog helps her with many tasks.

The students learned when it is and when it is not alright to pet a service animal, they learned how the animals are trained, and they learned how the animals help their owner.

While the focus of the Village Library is to help students complete their homework, programs like these help the children socialize and expand their knowledge. Students are always asked to write about their experiences at these programs to help build their writing skills. The programs also make learning fun!

Special thanks to Liz Campbell and Barbara for visiting the Village Library and encouraging our students. If you're interested in volunteering at the Village Library, please contact Catherine Hollis at 817-595-0011.
Spring cleaning? Bring your gently used items to the Coat of Many Colors
clothes-shopping-woman.jpg When the spring cleaning bug hits your house, please start a box for the Coat of Many Colors!

Our resale shop can accept your gently used clothing and household items. Those items you no longer need will be resold to help fund the programs of Mission Central.

Donations are accepted Monday - Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. The shop is located at 625 Harwood Road in Bedford, and it is preferred that you bring your donations to the back door. Just knock on the door and one of our friendly staff or volunteers will help you with your bags or boxes. They'll also issue you a tax receipt for your donation.

Once you're done donating, you'll probably want to stay and shop. You never know what great finds you'll make! To stay up-to-date on sales and store news, please be sure to follow us on Facebook.
