Principal's Message
Parents,
Congratulations to the following students and their families: Alison A., Kindergarten; Ayan S., First Grade; Braden D., Third Grade, and Skye L., Fourth Grade. These students have been in school on time every day this year! They have not missed a day, nor been late. This is a team effort as a family and we celebrate you! T
hese students will be celebrated with a special lunch and certificate. Thanks so much, parents, for working hard to have your children in school, on time, every day.
Looking forward to seeing you at the auction Saturday night. So much time and effort goes into this event and I hope you all appreciate all our PTA does collectively to make this event great for all of us. Thank you, Shelden Hyde and Amy Mason, for the tireless efforts in creating the event at this special venue, as well as managing all the donations. Thanks to all who donated, including our generous teachers for their treats, to all who baked, picked up, dropped off, decorated and helped set up. You are appreciated.

Thank you to Stacy Cerruti and Monica Manuel for presenting on TK Number Sense. It was fascinating to hear the learning process and SUPER FUN getting to play the games!
You still have time to buy your tickets for our annual auction this Saturday, March 25th at Boundary Oaks. We have some amazing items such as a vacation in Sicily, a week in Cabo, and you don't want to leave out the wonderful class projects. You do not want to miss the experience. If you are not able to make it, you can always bid by proxy!

PTA Meeting and Annual Election
Join us for the PTA annual election on Tuesday April 18 @ 7pm in the Murwood Library. We will be electing our 2017-2018 officers during this meeting. We hope to see you there!

Murwood Auction for Education
TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets for The Murwood PTA's Auction for Education are still available but we need to hear from you ASAP! Payment must be made today online or to the school office. Don't miss your chance to bid on fantastic destinations, golf packages, top restaurants and all sorts of shopping and services, plus all of our classroom baskets and art projects.The live auction items available this year are outstanding. They include a Week in Palm Springs, or a villa on Sicily, or Thanksgiving in Cabo! There is also an overnight in Napa for two or a family trip to Disney for four. We have two amazing adult parties: A Taste of Barcelona II at Teleferic Restaurant or Backyard Fun, catered by local favorite Eat Drink, & Merry. Parents will have any opportunity to secure their kids a spot at Hike-A-Palooza or win an Outdoor Movie Night. Others may want to get the kids some on the job training as Principal for a Day or behind the scenes tour of Cumulus Media's KFOG and the Bone! There are also tickets available for the Warriors, the Giants, the A's and the Raiders. Bidding on these extraordinary packages is a WIN-WIN. You get to root for our home teams while supporting our favorite school.
Get your tickets to the
"Tradition of Excellence" auction. The event will be on March 25, 2017, 6 PM at the Boundary Oak Country Club, Walnut Creek. The evening includes passed appetizers, a three-course dinner, a silent, live, dessert auction, prizes, and dancing. This annual event is our
biggest fundraiser of the year and is not to be missed. It's a real
SCORE for the home team. We'll see you there in your favorite jersey!

Registration is open for PTA Advocacy Day for Education
PTA invites our community to come together for the 37th Annual Advocacy Day for Education, March 24, 2017 in San Ramon. Join parents, educators, and elected officials for an informative and thought-provoking day. We will explore topics regarding student success, well-being, safety, and how to advocate for a student-centered approach to education.
Guest speakers include: Jon Kleiman, Challenge Success Parent Education Director; California State PTA leadership; local superintendents, including AUHSD Superintendent John Nickerson; and state and national legislators, including Steve Glazer, Catherine Baker, and Mark DeSaulnier.
