Act Now to Expand Children's Behavioral Health Capacity in the Budget

Throughout New York State, Children's Behavioral Health service capacity is stretched dangerously thin. Families often wait months for services their children desperately need at a time when they are at their most vulnerable. Meanwhile, the non-profit community-based providers are responding to the call for Medicaid redesign, the pressures of high-stakes alternative payment methods in Medicaid, implementation of the minimum wage and more demand for children's behavioral health services than there is capacity. To address this problem, we need funding in this year's budget for programs to hire, train and adequately compensate our workforce.

Take action today by contacting your legislators to educate them about the need to invest in children's behavioral health service capacity. See the two easy steps below and have your voice heard!
