Winter Markets
The first edition of the Lansdowne Farmers Market's 2016-17 Winter season is almost upon us. Winter Markets take place at the same location as always (30 N. Lansdowne Avenue) on the third Saturday of each month through April 2016, meaning we are just over a week away from the December 17 market. Please note that Winter Markets last only two hours -- from 10 am to noon. Mark your calendars and set those alarms -- don't be one of those folks that shows up at 12:10 with tears in your eyes. Additional Winter Markets are scheduled for January 21, February 18, March 18, and April 15 -- be sure not to miss them!

Even though its Winter, our bustling borough is still on the move. Take in some of the events listed below -- you will be glad you did.

What a Weekend!
More than 1,000 folks came to Lansdowne to join in out annual A Bit of the Arts Holiday Sale. At the Twentieth Century Club on Friday and Saturday, more than 30 artists sold their wares at A Bit of the Arts. There was photography, student art, ceramics, jewelry, musicians, great food, and much more. A big hit was the make-your-own-silk-scarf booth. Watching something being created into wearable art was mesmerizing. The Delaware County Daily Times covered the event with this article. Area merchants had a coupon page available at our event to celebrate Shop Small Saturday. Merchants offered incentives to keep visitors and residents in the borough leading up to the LBPA's tree lighting. It was a big hit with kids and adults alike (the visit from Santa certainly didn't hurt!). There were dancers, music, and folks dressed up in period garb. Many thanks to Liz Steele-Coats and everyone who volunteered and helped with all of the events over the past weekend. We couldn't do it without you!
