Tomorrow: See "The Theory of Everything" at Lansdowne Library
This Friday, stop by the Lansdowne Public Library at noon for a free screening of "The Theory of Everything," the 2014 film about the relationship between physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife, Jane.

Applications Now Available for Arts and Crafts Show
The Lansdowne Arts and Crafts Show is a spring tradition featuring everything from jewelry and accessories to woodworking, body products, and so much more. If you think your art or craft should be a part of the 2015 edition, don't miss your chance to participate! The event takes place on Saturday, May 2 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Exhibitor applications with complete rules and guidelines are now available online; the deadline to return applications is April 15.

Final Week for Theater Petition Drive
If you are a Lansdowne resident and are registered to vote, this Saturday is the last chance to sign the Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation's petition to add a referendum to the May 19 Primary Election Ballot that would allow alcohol sales in the Lansdowne Theater during events. Signatures will be collected in the theater from 9 am to 1 pm, but if you can't make it and want to sign the petition, call the theater at 610-622-1234 to arrange for a volunteer to meet you. Speak now and enjoy a show and a drink later.

'Art in the Park' Entries due Next Week
The Union Gardens Elm Street Project, a program of the LEDC, announces a new and exciting opportunity for artists of every level to decorate one of five new concrete park benches. The benches will be installed at Interboro Park in Lansdowne. Design entries are due by March 13. Five designs will be selected and each winner will receive a $200 cash prize along with their name and the name of the winning design on a plaque displayed forever on the back of the bench. Decisions will be made by early April with painting to be undertaken in mid-April or May. Click here for complete details and rules.

Next Winter Market: March 21
We're just over two weeks away from the March Winter Farmers Market, taking place on Saturday, March 21. Check this newsletter in a couple weeks for a full list of participating vendors and their goods. The Farmers Market Committee is in the process of planning the 2015 season, with a full schedule of weekly markets beginning on Saturday, May 23. Stay tuned -- it looks to be another exciting year!

LEDC Annual Meeting March 26
The Lansdowne Economic Development's Annual Meeting will be held Thursday evening, March 26 at AviAnna Restaurant and Banquet Facility, 55 E. Baltimore Ave. This year's guest speaker is Naomi Starobin, editor for the WHYY radio news program Keystone Crossroads. Further details will be emailed next week.

Get Involved with Celebration Theater!
Celebration Theater wants you to get involved! On Thursday, April 2, the Celebration Theater steering committee will host a meet and greet at Art Space Lansdowne (25 S. Lansdowne Ave.) at 7 pm. Anyone interested in volunteering with Celebration Theater is invited to attend to discuss upcoming projects and volunteer opportunities. Snacks will be provided. Monthly Needleworking at Library
Also at the library, stop by for Social Needleworking at 10:00 am on the second Saturdays of the month through May. Bring your knitting and crochet projects to the library on March 14, April 11, and May 9 and enjoy working creatively in the company of others!
