BIG IDEA 2017

We are so excited that Big Idea is just around the corner and we want to be sure that you have ALL the information you need! Please read this email in its entirety and be sure to review the packing list carefully.

CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY
On Friday March 31 check-in will begin in the Atrium (outside the Fellowship Hall) no earlier than 5:45pm.  Parents, you must check-in with your youth. However, leave their luggage in your car until checked in. If you still need to complete the NRUMC Parental Consent/Health Form, please turn this in before Friday. (Download Health Form HERE . ) At check-in each youth will receive a packet with their booklet, wristband, and name-tag which will indicate their Family Group and Family Group Leaders for the weekend. Parents, be sure to take the card with group leader contact information from their packet.
Once you have checked in the youth will find their Family Group, gathered in the back parking lot, and load your luggage into Host Home vehicles. Please pack efficiently, in ONE bag, so that there is room for everyone's stuff! Youth should remain with their Family Group in back lot to greet other youth as they arrive and then walk to Session 1 together. Doors to the youth center open at 6:15pm and Session 1 begins at 6:30pm.

Big Idea Packing List
  • Bible
  • NRUMC Consent Form (If not already on file.)
  • Offering for Sunday morning's service
  • Personal water bottle 
  • Snacks to share with your family group (peanut free please!)
  • Required Medications (EPIs and inhalers)
  • Towel and toiletries
  • Sleeping bag, blanket, pillow
  • Clothes for 3 days
  • Appropriate sleepwear
  • Work clothes/paint clothes, gloves and shoes (closed toed) for service projects Saturday afternoon. 
  • Rain jacket, umbrella
  • A good attitude and open mind!
"Don't Pack" List
· Mobile phones or any electronic devices. Your Family Group Leaders     will have phones and cameras to capture all the fun!
· Big Idea is a drug free and alcohol free zone (and so are you!)
· Clothing you wouldn't wear to a normal youth group at NRUMC.
· Anything that could cause your mom or dad to take you home early.

BIG IDEA 2017 SCHEDULE:
If for any reason your youth will be arriving late or checking out early from Big Idea, please inform Jason or Jen as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made with your youth's Family Group Leader.

10:00 p.m. FG Time
SATURDAY April 1
8:00 a.m.   Breakfast at Host Homes
9:00 a.m.   Worship and IDEA 2
11:30 a.m.  FGL Time- Group Project
12:15 p.m.  Lunch at NRUMC
1:00 p.m.    Leave for Mission Projects   
 (Shower and change at Host Homes, if necessary.)
5:45 p.m.    Return to NRUMC
6:00 p.m.    Dinner at NRUMC
7:00 p.m.    IDEA 3
10:15 p.m.  Leave for Host Homes
10:30 p.m.  FG Time
SUNDAY APRIL 2
8:00 a.m.  Breakfast at Host Homes
9:00 a.m.  IDEA 4
12:30 p.m. End of Big Idea/Check-Out
1:00 p.m.  Load Up/Clean- Up
