I f you took a Class or Workshop 
with us in 2016 or 2017 you are eligible to submit your work that you produced in class.
Students Exhibition  
This show encourages all our students to exhibit their best work from class. Under the tutelage of our amazing faculty, our Students develop and build their skills through example and practice. This may be the first opportunity for some of our students to exhibit, so is a fresh and fun show. You may bring 2 paintings or up to three pieces of pottery and or jewelry! No Fee No Judgment!

This class will cover the fundamentals of drawing which will include: line, perspective, composition, as well a  a sense of depth with blending. Drawing materials, techniques, and methods will be shown by the instructor. Open to all levels of  drawing experience. "

in simple stokes. First, students will practice the basic fluid brushstrokes of the classic subjects of bamboo, orchid and plum. Then exploring animals, landscape and nature. Come have fun in this relaxed meditative, enjoyable class.

Focus on exploring the use of color to
maximize the luminous possibilities of watercolor and experiment with application methods such as pouring and glazing to achieve seamless washes. Ann will demonstrate her techniques as a painting progresses from light to dark.

John Clayton

Each day John Clayton will demonstrate using a palette knife. He will simplify the scene to flat masses and develop values and exciting color notes. Students will learn how to mix key colors, in an expressive creative way
Andy Evansen

Watercolor   $495
In this workshop, you'll discuss ways to simplify a scene into larger shapes that will help you paint more boldly. Value studies are emphasized from the outset.  Andy will complete at least one demonstration painting each day, covering topics such as drawing, skies, trees, buildings, water, and figures.  By the end of the class, each student should have enough information to help them on their path to painting impressionistic watercolors.

There will be lots of personal attention in this instructional and spirited three day workshop! Learn what it takes to make a painting that looks fresh and painterly. Observing directly from life you will learn how to capture the light and apply paint boldly. Each day will start with a demo and exercises. You will be guided through gestural oil sketches for composition and flow, value tonal sketches to establish the lights and darks, and color mixing exercises. Have fun with Carol in this dynamic workshop!

This 3 day workshop will consist of 2 plein air days in some of Cape Cod's beautiful gardens, and one studio day. As you paint outdoors Kathy will show you how to simplify a garden scene with big shapes and a strong block in. The studio day will focus on how to design a floral still life that has a fresh and natural look with lots of movement.  Students then will set up their own still lifes in the afternoon. You'll talk about how to finish the painting using digital images, or how to set up again at home.

In this class students will paint along with Robert as he demonstrates step-by-step a range of subjects, watercolor techniques, brushwork, color theory and tactics in representational art, to put you on the path to stronger, more expressive paintings. Are you new to painting
and looking for a class to
help you begin? Or hoping to refresh your skills and start painting again?  This no-fear, supportive class will give you the confidence and knowledge to complete a painting on day one. We will focus on landscape painting from your photos, and learn about composition, color mixing, and creating artistic effects. Use oils or acrylics, or the new water soluble oils, with soap and water cleanup.  You'll be surprised at what you will accomplish in this enjoyable, relaxed class.  All levels are welcome.
