MESSAGE FROM PASTOR TIM
Dear Friends and Members of Ark and Dove,
We have word today that the Solano family of
Communidad La Trinidad will be renting a small home in Annapolis starting in May. This is the first refugee family that our church is sponsoring. 98% of the time our church cannot take, does not have the room to store, and is not interested in old furnishings. We refer people to the
Habitat Restore in Pasadena, they take things in good shape. Okay, we are now approaching 2% time.
If you have some decent things your are replacing, or your are downsizing, we may need furnishings in May. We will keep you posted.
The Five Minute Rule is an old tradition at Ark and Dove. In the first five minutes after worship talk to people about their faith, their lives and their families. No church business for five minutes.
The Twenty Minute Rule New tradition? Maybe. Don't talk to Tim and Jon about church business for the 20 minutes after worship. Allow our Pastors to connect with people during the fellowship time? What do you think?
No palms on Palm Sunday? No, don't worry. Paula Griggs has ordered the palms, they are at church. But did you know that the Gospel of Matthew does not mention Palms? See scripture below.
Come wave your leafy branches at Ark and Dove on Sunday!
Holy Week is an eight-day week. We begin on Palm Sunday and end on the Eighth day of Creation, which is Easter. During Holy week we offer six services. Huge crowds show for the services of Easter. The two services of Palm Sunday are also usually very well-attended. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, as they say, not so much. You just might be missing out. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services are at 7:30 PM.
Fill in the gaps and round out your week with new perspectives for your faith.

TES FOR YOU
Please join us this Palm/Passion Sunday for beautiful music! Our Joyful Noise youth choir will sing at the start of the 9:30 service, and will be accompanied by percussion, flute, piano, and some of our Dove Choir youth will be helping with percussion instruments as well. You will hear tow anthems by the Adult Choir. "Hosanna in the Streets" is a bright and lively piece accompanied by piano and percussion, while "Man of Sorrows," accompanied by piano and violin, is a touching
and powerful piece.
If your child is interested in being a part of our musical, it is not too late! Please talk to me as soon as possible if they'd like to join. We'd love to have them!

SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER
Looking for something fun to do? Mark your calendars and buy your tickets for the April 28th Youth Group Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser! It's gonna be an awesome night for all ages! Our current 5th grade through college-age youth are raising funds for summer mission trips and have a wonderful night planned for you! The event will include a spaghetti and meatball dinner, live music, a craft sale, a services silent auction, an Ark and Dove Trivia game, video booth, and more! Reservations are required and tickets can be purchased in advance at Sunday services or by emailing nicolehowe123@gmail.com. Cost is $10 per adult, $7 for ages 3-11, while ages 3 and under are free. Seating times will be 5:30 or 7:00. It really is going to be "sauce-some" and "noodles" of fun! We hope you will join us!

We welcome your gently used clothing & shoes, various household items, books, dvd's, toys, games, and working electronic items. ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING
When we contribute to the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) offering during Lent, about a third of our contribution goes to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). The other two thirds of the OGHS offering supports the Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. Supporting PDA through OGHS means helping victims of Hurricane Matthew, Gulf Coast flooding, Tennessee wildfires, lead contamination in Flint drinking water, war in Syria, mass shootings, and many other disasters. PDA will probably be helping victims of last week's flooding in Colombia and Peru very soon.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. As they put it on the PDA website, PDA enables congregations and mission partners of the PCUSA to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events. IMMIGRATION & MISSION FORUM TONIGHT! The President's Executive Order on Immigration and refugees changed, overnight, the reality of life in the USA for immigrants -- both documented and undocumented. Please join Comunidad Presbiteriana la Trinidad for a special forum -- in English and designed for church members -- on immigration changes with lawyer Waleska Casiano. Waleska has been the volunteer at our monthly free immigration clinics for the local Hispanic community. A local immigration attorney, Waleska has witnessed first-hand the immediate changes that have come. She will cover the long-reaching implications of the order's changes and how it has already impacted the immigrant community, with an eye for how the Presbyterian congregation's mission committee and members might be able to help. The Immigration Session will be held TONIGHT, Friday, April 7, 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Harundale Presbyterian Church. Questions? This past Sunday, April 2, at the same Riverside Church, the Reverend William Barber II preached a sermon entitled "
When Silence is Not an Option," building on the lectionary of the "dry bones." He spoke of how the themes that MLK raised have continued, and that what we see happening now is not an exception, but a continuation of patterns of oppression against the poor, and especially poor people of color. His inspiring sermon is available

SPRING INTO ACTION!
Spring means time for Spring cleaning and the refreshing of our facilities. There are always things that need to be done to keep our building and property looking the best it can for ourselves and our visitors-my list grows bigger every day. In order to accomplish this list, I am asking that you consider giving some of your time to Ark and Dove. Nearly all the maintenance and upkeep of our building happens through volunteers. Even if you only have an hour to give at an odd time in the week, your contribution will be welcome. Whether you prefer to paint a wall inside, mulch a garden outside, do heavy manual labor, or methodically organize a closet- I have jobs for you. If you are willing and able to help enhance the appearance and operations of our facility, please contact me, Rob Yeager, Facilities Elder, facilities@arkanddove.org.

FACILITIES MINISTRY - RECYCLING UPDATE The ABITIBI paper recycling dumpster was removed from our parking lot because that program no longer raised donations for our youth activities. If you were bringing in paper to Ark & Dove, please
recycle it at home or some other location. Facilities Elder Rob Yeager, the Sunday evening AA Group, and I continue to support mixed recycling for activities in our building. Please remember to use the blue and yellow baskets and bins throughout our building for paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, steel and tableware that are empty and not heavily soiled.
