Easter Is Coming...

A Note From Pastor Linda

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark... ~John 20

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ~

Holy Week- a week of waiting for Easter. What are you doing this week?
  • Making plans for Easter Sunday Bruch or Dinner (or making reservations!)?
  • Coloring Easter Eggs?
  • Planning an Easter Egg Hunt?
  • Looking for Easter-Wear? Those cute Spring dresses for girls and snazzy suits and ties for boys?
  • Figuring out what to put in those Easter Baskets?

In the church Holy Week is marked by a walk with Jesus in his last week of LIFE. It is a time to allow the story to explain itself. The story is filled with darkness and shadows, political intrigue, scheming and plotting, the tenderness of a communal meal and the way of the cross. It is also a week filled with HOPE, a week that culminates in the mystery of an empty tomb. It is a week in which we know anew that God always (ALWAYS) mysteriously brings forth LIFE out of death.

This is a message that our world needs to hear. This is a message that we need to share. Invite a friend into the drama of Holy Week. You don't need to explain it- simply experience it. Enter the week with us. Enter the story. Listen with your deepest self and experience the events as the week unfolds.

  • Last Supper Reenactment Worship Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30pm in the Garden Chapel.
  • Good Friday Worship on Friday at 7pm in the Garden Chapel.
  • Easter Worship at 9am and 10:30am in the Great Hall.

See you in church!

 ~Pastor Linda
