Shed's BBQ Now Open on Bromfield Street; Serving Up Deliciousness!

The highly anticipated Shed's BBQ restaurant opened on March 29th and customers quickly flocked to get their fill of brisket, ribs, collard greens, cole slaw and more.

"My brother and I are from Texas and we grew up eating this food," said Shawn Wilson, above left, who owns the restaurant with her brother Edward Wilson, above right. "We wanted to bring a little bit of Texas to Boston."

The brother-sister team merged their names for the restaurant's name: Shawn + Edward = Shed's BBQ. The duo also tapped into their family's secret recipes for the BBQ sauces, rubs and more.

Shawn and Edward both listed numerous menu items as their favorites. Shawn cited the brisket, mac and cheese, pickled jalapenos and collard greens, while Edward named the brisket, ribs, turkey, baked beans and "pretty much everything."

Along with sandwiches, meat platters, rib platters and sides, Shed's BBQ also offers lighter options. There's the organic lemony rocket blend bowl, which has arugula, spinach, red oak leaf lettuce and signature dock leaves. Another option is the super food with rainbow kale bowl that includes shaved Brussels sprouts and chopped Napa cabbage.
The Wilsons are not new to downtown Boston's food scene, as they're the owners of the Viga Italian eateries, too. But they both said they've wanted to open a BBQ restaurant for more than a decade.

Shed's BBQ is located at 32 Bromfield St., and is open Monday through Friday 11 am to 3 pm. Click here for a full menu. Call 617-542-SHED for more info or to place an order.
