Dr. Ivan Duran Named Bellevue's Next Superintendent
The school board is excited to announce that Dr. Ivan Duran will join us as our new superintendent this summer. We had an impressive field of candidates and among those, Dr. Duran became our clear choice.

We want to thank all of our community members, staff, parents, employee groups, students, partners and everyone who participated in the superintendent search. We were thrilled that so many of you were able to meet the candidates in person, submit questions and watch the community forums online. Your feedback was invaluable to the board in making its decision.

On Monday afternoon, March 13, the board voted unanimously to extend the offer to Dr. Duran. The next step in the process is to finalize an employment contract between the board and Dr. Duran. The board will provide an update at its next board meeting on March 21.

We want to acknowledge our gratitude for our current and soon to be retiring superintendent, Dr. Tim Mills. Dr. Mills has taken great care of our students and community during his exceptional tenure here over the last five years. He has provided a strong foundation for us to build on together with Dr. Duran.
