SAVANNAH, GA, APRIL 11, 2017  Live Oak Public Libraries  (LOPL) is ple a sed to announce that Tami Patten has been named Director of Human Resources. 

Tami Patten began her position with the Library as Interim Head of Human Resources on Oct. 3, 2016. She was tasked by the Regional Library Board of Trustees with rebuilding the human resources functions for Live Oak Public Libraries. Areas within her oversight include, but are not limited to, employee relations, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, labor law compliance, performance reviews, training, professional development, mediation, and change management.
 
Ms. Patten's vision for the LOPL Human Resources department is to promote the values of integrity, diversity, customer satisfaction, professionalism, and teamwork through our constant innovation and collaboration. 

She has been in the HR profession for almost 30 years, working in many of the disciplines (generalist, compensation, international HR, global mobility, leadership development and training, and organizational change) within large companies, both private and public, as well as at a boutique consulting firm. Tami owns her own consulting firm and prior to that was with Gulfstream for 11 years.

Ms. Patten has a B.S. in Management from Lesley University, an A. S. in Human Resources Management from Newberry College, and is a John Maxwell Team certified Executive Mentor, Coach, and Trainer.
