EASTER MEANS RESURRECTION

The last place that you would  ever expect to hear good news is from a graveyard; i t contradicts all logic and human reasoning.

The graveyard is filled with doom, gloom and despair.  When you look at the whole earth, what you actually see is just one huge cemetery;  everything here dies.

Trees, Animals, Insects and People all die!  Death is the last enemy of man and there is nothing we fear more than death.

Death belonged to Satan's realm but Jesus has broken that power!
It was broken on that first Easter Sunday morning when  Jesus took the keys of death away from the devil and walked out of the tomb.

Revelation 1:18

"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death"

On that first Easter morning they never expected to find the epitaph that they did.
Most are written in marble or carved in granite b ut our Lord's epitaph was spoken by the mouth of an angel:  "He is not here for He is risen as He said"

Can you imagine their excitement?  Can you imagine their thrill?
They couldn't wait to get back and tell the others the good news that they had received from the graveyard.

The resurrection of Jesus gives the ultimate hope for the bereaved; t he dead in Christ shall rise first!

Easter is the truth that turns a church from a museum into a ministry!

He's alive!

Now that is Good News that came from a graveyard.

NEW & IMPROVED

We can't say enough about the generosity of our people. The MCOG congregation is faithful in giving their tithes and offerings week in and week out. When they are called upon to give extra for various projects they never fail to dig deeper. They give liberally to World Missions, Benevolence and to various church projects.

Recently we were able to remodel a couple of restrooms and add new windows to the annex..
