2016 Survey of Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners
SCORE Mentor Assessment
Pricewaterhouse Coopers recently completed the 2016 survey of entrepreneurs and small business owners assisted by SCORE mentors during the course of the year


  • Nationally: 54,072 new businesses were started and 76,691 non-owner jobs were created.
  • In Savannah: 135 new businesses were started, creating 329 non-owner new jobs. The Savannah chapter provided 1,632 client services ranging from individual mentoring to attendance at one of our many workshops and seminars.
American Small Business Championship
Sponsored by SCORE and Sam's Club
Individually, as participants in the American Small Business Championship sponsored by SCORE and Sam's Club, 102 winners were selected by a panel of judges, two winners from each state and Puerto Rico. In Georgia, both winners were Savannah SCORE clients.
