DUFF is so excited to announce that our

Client of the Month 
is Tami Lowman!

DUFF: How long have you been training at DUFF?
 Tami: Since January 2015, little over 2 years.

DUFF: What brought you to DUFF?
Tami:  Followed my trainer when he moved from another facility (best decision I ever made)

DUFF: What is your favorite thing about DUFF?
Tami: The trainers!!!! Love the spirit of inclusiveness and camaraderie that they instill.
 
DUFF: What is your biggest
 accomplishment at DUFF? Personal record? 
Tami:   Best accomplishment would be coming in 2nd  in the 2016 Get Lean challenge. Personal record - I find it personal victory each and every workout when I can complete it  without quitting or collapsing.
DUFF: What is your favorite exercises and/ or movement in DUFF classes?
Tami: Any type of deadlifts.

DUFF:  What is your least favorite exercise and/ or movement in DUFF classes?
Tami: Burpees!

DUFF:  What do you do for a living? Any children?  
Tami:  CPA working as Assistant Controller for a construction company. Children-Taylor, fellow Duffette  & nursing student; Tradd, Senior at USC; Stepdaughter Ryan (Max) Nurse at East Cooper and two granddaughters - Aiden and Parker

DUFF: What is your favorite thing to do outside of DUFF?
Tami:  Spending time with family and friends; Boating, hiking, beaching

 DUFF: Any additional comments?  
Tami: Love working out at Duff. The trainers and fellow Duffanatics are all so friendly, kind and encouraging. They live by their motto "Include everyone, exclude no one, fitness for ALL".

DUFF Kids Summer Camp will teach our youth 
fitness fundamentals, nutrition, and the importance of exercise.  Summer camp will consist of bodyweight exercises,  obstacle courses, team challenges, 
climbing ropes, cargo net fun, 
monkey bar madness, plyometric movements, 
jump ropes, rowing and more!

Recipe of the Month
Turkey Taco Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 package of ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 can of Rotel Tomatoes
  • Spinach
  • 1/2 of sliced avocado
  • 1 tablespoon of ground pepepr
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of fat free sour cream or substitute plain non-fat greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing
  • Pinch of reduced fat cheddar, colby-jack, or preferred shredded cheese
Instructions
Saute ground turkey until cooked adding the pepper and salt during cooking process. Make sure to chop the meat with a spatula as the meat continues to cook. Set meat aside when brown in color. In a large bowl, place a handful of spinach. Next add the cooked ground meat and start layering with the avocado, the rotel tomatoes, cheese, and Olive oil & vinegar dressing. Top off with sour cream or plain non fat greek yogurt. 

*Can add any other vegatables of choice to salad such as jalapenos, olives, broccoli, and peas*
