Evangelization Newsletter-Early Fall Edition
Dear Evangelizing Friend,

There are so many amazing evangelization programs and processes that begin at this time of the year.  ALPHA, Catholics Returning Home, ARISE, Christ Life, Joyfully Gifted, Small Groups, new welcome processes, adult faith formation programs such as bible studies, Catholicism, or Symbolon, door to door evangelization and inspirational talks in parishes.

In Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis asked us to become evangelizing churches with missionary disciples. He has encouraged us to be filled with joy...celebrating at every small victory, every step forward in the work of evangelization.  (EG, 24)  Today, let us celebrate with parishes who have taken a step to begin or continue programs that bring people to faith, return people to faith or deepen people's faith in Jesus Christ.

Here in the diocese, we are striving to live the missionary vision put forth by Pope Francis in Joy of the Gospel in creating evangelizing communities.  "An evangelizing community gets involved in word and deed in people's daily lives; it bridges distances, it is willing to abase itself if necessary, it embraces human life touching the suffering flesh of Christ in others." (EG, 24)

Below are a few more opportunities to discover additional evangelizing opportunities.  I hope to see you at some or all these events.  For more information and to register, click on the links below or contact me at tbaldwin@dioceseofcleveland.org.

Looking for a Lenten Program?

Living the Eucharist is highly recommended by the Office of Evangelization. It is a parish-based program designed to help revitalize parish life and spirituality through a more profound experience of Sunday Mass.

It helps the entire parish-adults, teens, and families-grow in their Catholic faith and live more fully as disciples of Jesus.

Living the Eucharist runs during Lent for three years. Parishioners can take part in adult and teen faith-sharing groups, family activities, devotional and catechetical Lenten readings, and a prayer campaign.

The multi-media program materials are comprehensive, proven, and easy to use. Ongoing support keeps your parish on the right track throughout the program.

Fr. Ken Boyack, CSP will be at the Stewardship and Evangelization Conference to share best practices for this program.

Joyfully Gifted Logo Pope Francis asks us to dream:

Imagine a parish community where all of the laity have discovered and are using their spiritual gifts and direct them authentically to the heart of the Gospel.  We might find that we will have parish communities guided by the Holy Spirit, living in communion, to be mysteriously fruitful.

Join with other parishes and Catholic organizations in helping all of us in the Diocese of Cleveland to begin discovering and discerning our gifts with a retreat, phone guidance and 4 week small group process called Joyfully Gifted.
