Wagon ho!

Participants on the 4-H Wagon Train sign up to spend a week retracing the steps of Oregon Trail pioneers.
It's a chance to step away from cars, phones, running water, showers -- and a chance to step into a time when Oregonians relied on horse power, Mother Nature and each other.
Young entrepreneurs

Grant and Wilson high school students are designing hats and socks to sell in the fall as members of the young entrepreneurs club, part of a new 4-H statewide financial literacy program .

Where do you go when

you are on the water?

Jenny East
A weekend boating trip with friends and family requires sunblock, sodas, snacks - and a place to go to the bathroom.  When headed out on the water, many recreationalists don't think about where to go when they need to go. Jenny East works with OSU Extension/Oregon Sea Grant  as boating outreach coordinator. View the interactive map detailing boat holding tank pumpouts, portable toilet dump stations, and floating restrooms.

Education Center Open

OSU Extension programming will be reaching even greater audiences in the Portland Metropolitan region now that we've moved into our new OSU Extension Service Education Center. As a hub of learning and education activities powered by community-based research and academic and outreach programs, our new location will help us meet the area's rapidly changing and emerging needs.  Nearly a month into the new center it's been fun to see staff settle in as we continue to advance programming activities and restructure positions and strategies to further our mission.
It is an exciting time to be part of OSU. I look forward to working with you, growing future partnerships in the county and region. We cannot thank you enough for your interest and the number of ways you contribute to helping us serve the community.
Thank you, Patrick Proden
