In addition, participants are introduced to SBA resources available for start-up capital, technical assistance, and contracting opportunities. This program is also recommended for those who wish to grow an existing veteran-owned small business.

Upon completing the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course, participants can apply for acceptance to the eight-week online Foundations of Entrepreneurship course led by the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University.

CRRL librarian Pamela Smith, Head of Research at Porter Branch, says, "Military families and veterans have a huge impact on our community and are greatly appreciated. We are always looking for ways to support these individuals through our library classes, events, and services."

Shirelle Taliaferro,  Deputy District Director of the  Small Business Administration's Richmond District Office, says, "Veterans and their families have made so many sacrifices, and we are very thankful for everything that they do. We want to provide resources that will help in their entrepreneurial success." Taliaferro will join CRRL staff on NewsTalk 1230 WFVA's Town Talk program on Thursday, March 16, at 8 a.m. to provide more information about Boots to Business Reboot.
