Risk Management for your Small Business

The FSBDC at Florida International University (FIU), in partnership with USAID and FIU's Extreme Events Institute, has developed a disaster-preparedness mobile app that allows business owners to better prepare their companies for disasters and to jump start operations post-event. The app includes customizable checklists, disaster simulations and assessments to help entrepreneurs identify risks to their business. This course will discuss overall small business risk management and how to effectively use this app.

The steps associated with conducting both primary and secondary market research are reviewed along with how to make use of the information in both your marketing and business plans. About FSBDC at Eastern Florida State College
The FSBDC at Eastern Florida State College provides existing and prospective entrepreneurs with high-quality management consultling, entrepreneurial training, and information access and transfer - enabling them to maximize their businesses' growth, competitiveness and profitability within their trading area.

 

The FSBDC at Eastern Florida State College is a subcenter of the FSBDC at the University of Central Florida. The FSBDC at UCF maintains its regional headquarters in Orlando and operates six full-service sub-centers. The FSBDC at UCF serves an eight county area that includes Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia counties.
