During our
Rosh Chodesh Adar Assembly, the girls joined together to sing
Hallel, listen to a beautiful
D'var Torah from our own 5
thgrader,
Miri Epstein, and
Rabbi Stein shared how we can create our own feelings of
simcha through doing
mitzvos and acts of
chessed. The girls then learned about an exciting opportunity to support an important organization,
Chinuch Atzmai in
Eretz Yisroel.
Rabbi Yosef Pollack of Chinuch Atzmai shared a story about the organization's impact on families in
Eretz Yisroel, and our own
Tehila Cohen spoke to the entire Upper and Lower Elementary divisions of the school about her own fond experiences in a
Chinuch Atzmai School. Through this
tzeddaka drive the girls will have ability to earn prizes and raffles.

THIRD GRADE
Mrs. Mirsky and her Third Graders enjoyed hearing Bryna Esther Weiner play violin at their class handwriting party. They finished learning all the cursive letters and wrote letters to the Mike and Ike company in cursive.
Mrs. Herskowitz's class put on a performance on the topic of Emes before the entire student body at the recent breakout activity for our schoolwide theme of The Power of Speech.

FOURTH GRADE
Morah Reidler and her Fourth Graders prepared sample challos shaped like a model of the Lechem Hapanim. These special challos were placed on the Shulchan in the Mishkan.
FIFTH GRADE
Rabbi Shalom Tendler, from the Star-K and father of our own Miriam Tendler, came to describe the various elements of checking fruits for bugs. What a great way to prepare for Tu B'shvat!
The
Fifth Grade continue to debate on various topics as they continue with more persuasive writing in Miss Friedman's and Miss Snider's classes. These girls really know how to present a valuable and convincing argument in a respectful manner that is focused on evidence.
The Fifth Graders continued their tradition of preparing and decorating boxes for Bikkur Cholim to use in their packages.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Mrs. Greenfield really keeps our girls active during Physical Education classes as she converted our Gym into a fun and challenging obstacle course.
SCIENCE SHOW
Mrs. Segal, parent of 1st Grader Temima, presented a fascinating and educational Science show all about qualities of air. Her expert and engaging experiments brought to life how to appreciate this wonderful gift from Hashem. The students and teachers continue to talk about this powerful experience.
