WHAT'S ON SALE IN APRIL?

ALL FOUNDATIONS AND PRIMERS (SHINE AWAY and VELVET FOUNDATION PRIMER) ARE REDUCED BY 10% DURING APRIL and BLUSHES ARE REDUCED FROM $17 TO $15.

The Blush Breakdown.
Below we switched Anne Hathaway's (cool) blush with Debra Messing's (warm) blush to show what wearing the wrong blush does to a complexion.
The Wrong Blush...
Anne is wearing an orange toned blush making her look sallow while Debra is wearing a rosy blush making her look dull.

Now, lets switch them...
Anne looks radiant in her rosy blush and Debra looks more youthful in her peach toned blush.

FASHION TIPS
IT'S A FOREVER BENEFIT

A client I worked with years ago said "I really appreciate having had Lynne's color and silhouette analyses because I still have that knowledge when I am shopping. It is a forever benefit." So if you have not had either a color analysis or a silhouette analysis, think about it as an investment that just keeps on giving. Why not live each day feeling chic, confident, comfortable and like you are looking your very best.

Another "benefit" -- particularly at this time of the year -- is CLOSET SURGERY.
Now is the perfect time to review what you currently own to make sure the colors and the fit are becoming. It may be overwhelming to do it on your own. I can help you transform your wardrobe as I evaluate, edit and organize each item that you own. I comb through your clothing and accessories while pulling together new outfits and combinations using your own pieces. Pictures are taken so you don't have to think when getting dressed. I also suggest additional items you might consider getting or you can hire me to shop for you to update your wardrobe. It will be so much easier to shop to fill in the gaps once you know what you have that is wearable so you know what you really need.

MISCELLANEOUS TIPS FOR SPRING... OR FOR ANY SEASON

  • Each time you purchase a new garment, try to discard or donate an old one.
  • Reduce damage on silk, satin, suede, leather and velvet garments by using smooth clip or Huggable hangers and turn the garments inside out to hang.
  • Apply hairspray, perfume and deodorant before you dress and let them dry completely.
  • Remove dry-cleaning plastic as they hold chemicals from the dry-cleaning plants.
  • Always look at what you are spending ... not at what you are saving.
  • When buying something on sale, ask yourself if you would pay full price for the item. If the answer is "no" perhaps you should reconsider, even if it is a great deal.
  • Avoid buying one-of-a-kind items that go with nothing.
  • Do not skimp on alterations. The most wonderful garment will not look good if it doesn't fit you well.
  • Buy pants and skirts to fit your largest area; waists can be more easily altered than changing the width of the hips on a garment.
  • Always check your total look -- front and back-- in a full length mirror before you leave the house.
  • Scarves can go a long way toward hiding a thick middle section when draped over tops or jackets.
  • Everything in your closet should fit, be in good repair, in your most becoming colors and flatter your figure.
Please let me know if I can help you with your closet.
