Mentors Are at the Root of What We Do

Youth March Break Activity - Indoor Rock Climbing with MEC


On Wednesday March 15th CultureLink Youth programs took 22 youth to Joe Rockhead's for indoor rock climbing. For many of them, it was their first time and here is what some of them had to say.

"The Spark that Leads to Something Wonderful"

CultureLink invited newcomer engineers to its popular Hit Restart for Engineers workshops. The aim of the program is to help our newcomer engineers become ready for job searches to showcase their talents and successfully navigate the hiring process.

This program was run by our staff person, Eman El Atawy, and an amazing group of volunteers. Helen Latimer, who led the workshop, has been volunteering with CultureLink for many years. She makes a huge difference by motivating and supporting our newcomers, and puts much time and effort into our Hit Restart for Engineers program. As she says, "Sometimes a different way of looking at a situation can be the spark that leads to something wonderful."  More...
