Hats Off To Bra Art, March 28

Health for All is hosting HATS OFF TO BRA ART! This fundraiser will include the auction of HEALTH COUTURE ART (both HAT ART & BRA ART) to help raise money for our free clinic serving the uninsured of the Brazos Valley. It will be a fun and unique way to make a difference. Join us for music, entertainment, belly dancers, and of course the live and silent auction of HEALTH COUTURE ART. All Bras and hats will be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to Health For all to help with local health needs.

The 2017 United Way Youth Leadership Cabinet's Mini-Grant Application is now available. To be eligible for one of these grants, agencies must be a Brazos Valley 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and demonstrate a direct impact in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, and/or Health. 5th Annual Down Syndrome Gala - Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley

The Aging and Disability Resource Center is hosting an educational luncheon for the aging population in the Brazos Valley and their caregivers. The Luncheon will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments at 3991 E. 29th St. in Bryan. They will be discussing "When Should Seniors Stop Driving" by the Hudson Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center and Home Instead Senior Care and "How to Stop Medicare Fraud" by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Program Manager (Part Time) - The Brazos Interfaith Immigration Network (BIIN)

BIIN is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt status non-profit whose mission is to promote the human dignity and well-being of all immigrants in our community and to advocate for and facilitate better access to legal, educational and social services. BIIN provides such services as information and referral; liaisons with schools, social service agencies, local government and other entities; assistance with wage recovery and other work-related issues; as well as translation and interpretation.

BIIN is looking for a part-time (20-30 hrs/week) Program Manager, responsible for case coordination and administrative support for the Board of Directors, committees and programs.

Role Player "Victims" (Hourly) - IIF Data Solutions & National Guard Training Exercise

IIF Data Inc. is contracted by the government to support National Guard Training for Emergency/ Disaster Training. They are currently seeking individuals who will be Role Players and simulate being "victims" of a mock disaster who will then be "rescued " as part of the National Guardsmen's training .
 
Orientation is Sunday,  March 26, 2017 from  1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The Exercise is on March 27 - 29, 2017 and  March 31, 2017. No Role Players needed for the 30th of March. The hours will be (approx.) 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or  5:00 PM.

Role Players will be paid $14.47/hr for all hours accumulated and paid on the last day that they work.  Lunch will be provided on the days of the exercise.

Office Manager (Full Time) - Twin City Mission

General Description:  Provides direct assistance to the staff of TCMYFS and Program Director. Performs office management and coordination of information. Maintains online data entry through approved techniques to meet STAR contractual requirements. 

Education/Other Requirements:  minimum High School diploma plus three years experience in a professional office setting. Prefer ability to type 50 wpm and proficiently work in MS Word and Excel spreadsheet format. Ability to present a professional and polite disposition in the work environment. Must be insurable under agency insurance policies and pass a background check.

Compensation:  negotiable plus fringe; occupational and liability insurance; social security and retirement plan when eligible.

Hours:  Full-time position; 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Monday-Friday; evenings and weekends as needed or requested.

FLSA:  Non-exempt. TCM is an E.O.E.
Case Manager (Full Time) - Twin City Mission

General Description: Responsible for implementing and managing a case management system that will empower participants to make
the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
 
 Education Requirements:  BA/BS or higher is social services or related field.
 
Qualifications:  BA/BS in social science or related field; ability to work as a team player ; a commitment to be non-judgmental and use a holistic approach when working with a diverse population and homeless issues;  the ability to maintain professionalism and ethics when working under crisis situations ; one year experience in social service  field; eligible for coverage under agency insurance policies.
 
Hours:  Full-time position, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.  Evening hours may also be required.  Other days will be given off during that week to offset weekend work. Responsible and available for rotating "on-call" for the Bridge shelter.

LVR (481) - MHMR Authority Brazos

Job Description: LVN implements professional & administrative nursing services under the direction of the RN in the IDD Services programs of ICF-ID, HCS, and TxHmL; is responsible for maintaining a competent & professional level of nursing care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities who receive services and supports through programs & for monitoring the delivery of medical related training, which include, but not limited to: lab screenings, physical exams, medication education/training including side effects, medication administration, liaison with pharmacies to ensure timely and accurate medication orders and to ensure safe and effective care is delivered; conducts focused health/nursing assessments within LVN scope of practice;  coordinate follow up with provider staff, the individual, and/or family regarding client medical issues/needs to ensure effective and efficient medical treatment/services is received as ordered/directed by healthcare personnel; provides oversight and ensures proper implementation of the medical/nursing outcomes for the individual's receiving ICF-ID, HCS, and TxHmL services; requires working closely with the interdisciplinary/service planning teams to facilitate and implement nursing treatment plan and nursing treatment recommendations.

Pews Available!

The Salvation Army of Bryan College Station has 27 pews that they are looking to donate. There are 14 pews that are 16 feet and 14 pews that are 9ft 6in. People picking up the pews are responsible for moving them. The Salvation Army cannot deliver the pews. If you are interested in the pews please contact the Salvation Army at 979-361-0618.
Homeless Hygiene Drive

Grind4God Ministries is having a Homeless Hygiene Drive! Most needed items include deodorant, tooth paste, shampoo, conditioner, baby wipes, diapers, lotion, tissue rolls, bar soap, razors, socks, and bottled water.
