MICHELLE AVERY KONCZYK
"Within"
Michelle Avery Konczyk is a painter hiding and working in the Lehigh Valley, interested in watercolor and surrealism and absence and pain and hands and ghosts and undercurrent and symbols and dirt and decay and void and laying on the floor. Within this past year she has shown in galleries in Philadelphia, New York City, Portland, Denver and Los Angeles.
This will be the first time in two years she has shown her work in the Lehigh Valley. Show runs through May 31.

This workshop is a great opportunity for beginner and intermediate painters to work with Arturo Cabrera, NYC artist and Valley native. Arturo will walk you through his painting process and cover the basics of oil painting in this 5 day workshop. You'll complete an 11x14 canvas from start to finish. Line & Mass: The Figure and Portrait Explored in Drawing and Painting
We are very honored to be hosting Robert Liberace for this rare opportunity for artists to take a workshop with Rob without having to travel! This workshop will explore both the organized and elegant manner of classical drawing and and the dynamic, fresh approach of alla prima painting. Though each style has a distinctive character, together they provide the artist with a more complete understanding of artistic technique.

SUMMER ART CAMPS!
Summer is closer than you think! Our camps were fantastic last year, and we expect to fill up fast. We're already receiving registrations, so don't wait! We offer two camps: Creation Station, which does all types of art including pottery, paper making, printmaking, painting, felting, bookbinding, crafting and anything else arty you can think of, and Pottery Camp for kids 7-14 which teaches wheel throwing and hand building.
CREATION STATION:
June 19-August 4 - New camp starts every week with a different theme!
Ages: 5-13
Camps run Monday-Friday 
9am-12pm (A.M. session)
OR
1pm-4pm (P.M. session)
OR 
All Day
$150 per week for AM or PM session; $275 for all day
Flex passes also available: $160 for any 5 sessions; $300 for any 10 sessions (a session is either a morning or an afternoon).
Early drop off and after care available.  
Camps will include a pottery, printmaking and paper making project every week, as well as activities like painting, felting, recycled art, sculpting, wool spinning, and so much more!

POTTERY CAMP:
Ages 7-14
Campers will learn a variety of ceramic techniques including wheel throwing and hand building in this fun and creative camp!!
July 10-14 (Session 1)
OR
July 24-28 (Session 2)
10-2 daily

$230, includes instruction, 25 lbs. of clay and all kiln firings (additional clay available for sale, if needed)

Fridays, April 7-May 12, 6-7:30This class encompasses one project focusing on student choice of subject, from under painting to final glaze. Students will not only learn step by step details of acrylic painting, but also reasoning, color complementing, and utilizing STEM academic concepts.

Great class for beginning potters and intermediates looking for a refresher! 
Instructor:  Corrine Kula
Ages 4-8 and 9-14
Tuesdays, 6-7pm and 7:15-8:15pm
Children embark on an imaginative journey by storytelling in paint. We "write" our story by using paintbrushes with colors, shapes, shades, rhythym and structure to create artwork that tells a unique tale.

Ongoing, Saturdays, 11am-12pm
A class for people with special needs who want to learn the art of painting with acrylics! Any level welcome. Instructor will meet you where you're at. Ages teen to adult.

Printmaking
Ongoing, Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm
Start with stamp printing and progress to linoleum and monotyping. Carving the block, inking and printing using a variety of techniques and surfaces, as well as using the press. 
Ongoing, Saturdays, 1:3 0-3:30 
Art classes specially designed for kids and adults with special needs. Very hands-on and fun! Designed to help the students learn about shapes, depth, color and more. Some projects feature sensory activities. Lots of camaraderie and fun!

In honor of Earth Day, we'll focus on using design influences from diverse cultures from all over the world, showing the many similarities in art from cultures on opposite sides of the planet, reminding us of our similarities despite all the differences that are so relentlessly pointed out. We celebrate human diversity, creativity, and our ancestors who lived in balance with the Earth for thousands of years!
Thursday, May 4, 6-9pm; Wednesday June 21, 6-9pm
Always wanted to try your hand on the potters wheel? This one night only class will allow you to get your hands dirty without any commitments! Book soon, these fill up quickly!

Sunday, May 14, 12-3pm or 5-8pm
Take your mom out for a spin...on the wheel!  Or a favorite aunt,  grandmother, someone who's like a mom to you, or your best friend! The 2 of you will share a wheel and have fun creating memories and works of art together. Early session will provide complimentary round of mimosas, coffee and snacks; later session will provide complimentary glass of wine and snacks. 

Wednesday & Thursday, May 17 & 18, 
Make your own funky and functional paper lantern! BYO materials or let instructor provide.

we offer private pottery parties? Our Sip & Spin parties are 3 hours of good, dirty fun! Create some cool pieces of art in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying your friends, favorite libation and snacks. It's the ONLY time it's okay to drink behind a wheel!

You bring your favorite beverage, snacks and people, and we provide everything else you need to create pieces of art you'll love forever and ever. All skill levels welcome! We provide:  cups, plates, napkins, forks, clay, tools, aprons, glazing and all firings.

3RD Thursday of every month,  6-9pm

Drop in for coffee and conversation in a relaxed, art studio environment (easels and tables available). Bring your supplies and a project to work on! Adult coloring books and gel pens available too! For those at all stages of recovery from substance abuse and mental illness. All welcome! Pay-what-you-will donation. 

FIGURE DRAWING:

Fridays  10am-1pm
Join host Patricia Sonne for great weekly sessions of figure drawing. Fantastic models vary week to week. Great way to hone your skills! Pay-what-you-will model fee. Look for evening sessions coming soon!
