Spring Lunch Help Needed

The CCC Hospitality Team needs lots of help decorating and setting up for our spring lunch on Sunday, March 26. Please view the available slots at this link and let us know when (and how!) you might be able to help. If you are helping in some way during the lunch, we will prepare a to-go box for you ahead of time so there will be a meal waiting for you when you are finished. Thanks in advance for your help!

Men's Spring Retreat

The Men's Ministry is planning a retreat for the weekend of April 28-30 at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain. Our 2017 theme is Life With God, and we welcome Nathan Clark George and Andrew Holbrook who will lead us through this topic. The cost is $159 per person, with scholarships available. For more information and to register (beginning Friday, March 17), go to christcovenant.org/mens-min. Questions? Contact Jennifer Dean at [email protected].

Funeral Reception Team

You are invited to be part of our CCC Funeral Reception Team. When a funeral is held at the church, this team will be contacted for help with food preparation or serving, and given instructions on what would be needed. Very easy recipes will be provided and the cost of ingredients will be minimal. In some cases, you may just need to pick up an item at the store and no preparation would be needed. The goal is to have enough people on the team so that each person would serve a maximum of 3-4 times per year. To sign up to help with funeral receptions, please click here. If you have any questions, please contact Teresa Caldwell.

Volunteer to Serve Children in our City: Buddy/Sidekick

We have a rewarding volunteer opportunity for those of you that work uptown. If you have interest in becoming a buddy/sidekick for an elementary student at an uptown school, please contact Karen Troutman. This is a new opportunity at our church and we will partner with First Ward Creative Arts at 715 North Caldwell Street. Your weekly time invested would be just 30 minutes to an hour. We look forward to hearing from you!

Location: CLC Youth Center high school room

Description: The high school class will seek to understand and address some of the most common hurdles in sharing the Gospel, from addressing the problem of theodicy, to the hypocrisy of Christians, to the apparent "division" between faith and science. We hope to engage with pertinent questions non-Christians offer while also viewing God's sovereignty in the salvation of the lost.
