Presidents' Message
Welcome to Back!

We hope you had a nice break and were enjoy some much neeeded relaxation.

Invention Convention was amazing!  Many families marveled at the creativity and initiative our children demonstrated.  We definitely have some future makers that will change the world here at Raskob.

Please be sure to RSVP for the Spring Social on March 25th and get it in your calendar will be here before we know it.

The RPA is starting to organize itself for 2017/18 school year and we urge you to drop by the RPA meeting tomorrow, March 3, at the School.  We get to hear all about what is going on at our School and help it flourish!

Penny Plays Game & Fundraiser Update

A huge thank you to all students and families who participated in the first round of Raskob's Penny Plays Game & Fundraiser!  And the winner is...
Mr. Lopez's advisory!  The honorable mention is Mrs. Cohen's class who came in a very very close second.  The next round is March13-17 so keep collecting those coins.   Again, thank you for supporting our school!

Parent Education

  School Dispute Resolution Workshop  This free event covers options available to parents when conflicts over IEPs cannot be resolved. March 18 at the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley (across from the Ashby BART).  Pre-registration required.
 
Dyslexia Training Institute is presenting a virtual conference April 24th- May 5th.  This will be a series of prerecorded topics to include issues in assessment and advocacy; Orton-Gillingham; dyslexia, dyscalculia, and executive function; and current dyslexia law.  After watching the podcast the attendee can post questions, which will be answered by the speaker. The keynote speaker is Ameer Baraka. Title of talk is Dyslexia: pipeline to prison.  It will be live.
