NO SCHOOL Monday, March 13th (Professional Dev. Day)

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, is the start of our Lenten Journey. I pray that your journey leads you closer to our Lord and deeper into the boundless love that he offers his obedient servants. Saint Francis provides a simple road map for the journey.... "Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible."

There have been many inquiries from parents regarding the status of our school schedule, if we use no snow days. Every year, the Diocese asks us to include three snow days in our schedule to accommodate inclement weather. In the event that we do not use all or some of the days, the unused days will be subtracted from our school calendar and the last day of school will be pushed up accordingly.

Please note that we have recently had some close calls in our afternoon carpool. To insure that all of the students are safe, I ask that all parents, when in the carpool line, please pull forward and put your car in PARK as you wait for the release of your round.

We hope you can join us this Saturday, 3/4 for our Annual Gala Auction. Registration and event details can be found on our school's website.

There are many exciting things going on in our school, to learn more, read Mr. Pryor's Academic Newsletter!

This is a reminder that our safety committee will be hosting a session on the dangers of Social Media and other student safety issues, next Wednesday, 3/8/17 in the school Library at 7:00 pm. Please note that we will also have special speakers to discuss these topics and answer any questions you may have. Teachers and students will also receive training on these topics next week.

Please join m e for t he Pastor/ Principal Coffee -  Friday, March 10th, following the 9 a.m. Mass. I will be discussing  forthcoming changes to our aftercare program and to the administration structure. Hope to see many of you there!

This Friday,3/3, you are invited to join us at 2:20 pm, in the church, for the Stations of the Cross.

Thank you to everyone who showed up at Chipotle last night to support the Band & Choir's fundraising efforts for Hershey Park! Chipotle will be giving the Band & Choir a check for $906.28!!!

Thanks so much for your consistent support of our amazing school, I greatly appreciate it!

God bless you,

Clinic Update:

Weekly Clinic Update:
Nurses!
There have been many reports of the flu (especially influenza A) in our school.  Our teachers and staff have been working hard to keep the classrooms clean and encourage frequent hand washing.  If your child has been absent due to illness, please keep them home until they are feeling better and fever free for 24 hours (without taking any anti-fever medication).
We also saw many students with cold symptoms, skin rashes, abdominal pain, and some with seasonal allergy symptoms.  If your child has allergies controlled by medication, please know when to start them on their medication.
Clinic News:
Allergy symptoms often mimic the common cold:  nasal congestion, runny nose, throat irritation, and fatigue.  Here is helpful chart from Web MD.
