Back in October of 2016, Pastors Seymour and Jurena Cook from Summerville, SC, were led by the Holy Spirit to visit Whole Word Fellowship in Oakton, VA, to walk and pray on the property. They felt an urgency to pray when they arrived on the part of the church's property which is seated on one of the highest points in the DC Metro area. They began to pray at the Holy Spirit's prompting for the Lord to bring down the enemy's high and lofty places in our nation's capital. During this prayer time, Jurena saw a demonic spirit hovering on the top of the cell tower that is on the church property, and pointed it out to Seymour. After being led to pray for it to be cast out of its position, both then saw the demonic spirit depart. The very next morning Pastor Pitts Evans saw something he had never witnessed before on the property. A bald eagle was sitting on top of the cell tower where the demonic spirit had left. The eagle came to visit a number of times over the next ten days. Then again, on the morning of January 20th, the day of the presidential inauguration, the eagle appeared once again at the same spot.
This is just one example of the many divine appointments and prophetic acts that many of you have been called to participate in and witness as you have been laboring for the Lord toward revival in this region. Pastors Seymour and Jurena now feel led to host an event to gather these saints who have been sowing and serving in various posts, often in hiddenness, to bring about the next outpouring of the Holy Spirit to this region. We believe that the eagle's visitation to the church ground was a one of many prophetic signposts of the Lord's redemptive plan for His beloved people. This eagle represents judgment, justice, freedom, and righteousness for our nation. Our country is going through a very important time that is shaping our land and setting a course for our future. The Lord is now calling His remnant to gather, arise and open the gates of the city and of heaven to invite the Lord in to revive our land.
We at The Lighthouse Church are joining together as one Body of Christ with Whole Word Fellowship, The Gate DC, NOVAHOP, and City Servants Church to cry out to God for revival. Pastors Seymour and Jurena Cook from Messiah's Church, will lead in Word and Pastor and Psalmist Darrian Summerville from City Servants Church will lead our worship. We believe this is going to be a significant event of a stirring towards a "Joel's outpour" for revival.
